Best Practice Visit to Achental

On the 28th - 30th March 2011, 38 participants from the 5 target regions of the BioRegions project visited the "Best practice" region of Achental in the South of Germany.
The program included visits to:- Biomassehof Achental, a logistic center for the mobilization of regional bio-energy sources
- Modern ways of forest cultivation
- Short rotation crops cultivation
- Presentation of the Ökomodel Achental, eco-project for sustainable regional development
- Biogas plant in a cheese farm
- Tour in pellets plant and CHP plant in Fügen
